Mini off life supportMy Mac Mini had drive trouble some time ago and I ‘fixed’ it by booting off an external drive.
This has been most acceptable for the last 15 months or so, but recently, with a rejig of media stuff in the living room, I thought it would be nice to have the mini working properly off its own disk.

No major ill effects so far, so it’s read more.. VisitingToday, we’re going to visit family.
Specifically, my mum and step-dad in Gloucestershire and on the way, picking up my sister (Tooting) and my older brother (Molesey).
Nothing unusual about this I suppose, except I don’t get to see family very often. I haven’t seen my mum since May, and my sister in over a year, I read more.. BlimeyI gained 0.5kg. No idea how that happened
ColdGaaah! I’ve managed to survive so far this season without getting the lurgy. Now have woken up with a serious sniffle and due to my other condition, can’t take most cold medicines. Joy!
Things I currently can’t eatIn my current condition, I cannot consume:
alcohol
black and red pepper
chillis
caffeine
chocolate/cocoa
tomatoes
fatty foods
anything fried
onions
garlic
cinnamon
cloves
peppermint
and more…
But basically, beer and curry is right out, as is coffee and chocolate brownies.
What superb timing!
I’ve adjusted this blog’s tag line until things are sorted.
